
There two posters. Each poster has several rooms. Each room is labeled for a type of bullying behavior-in the House of Bullying, and an opposite behavior in the Anti-Bullying House. They are valuable in that they help identify forms of bullying and the behaviors that are the opposite of bullying. They are good to use in instructing what bullying is/what anti-bullying is by brainstorming each room and filling in examples of that particular form of behavior. The e posters are a good classroom tool when used. In addition, there is a set of descriptive words and blank forms that come with the posters. . During the week, encourage the kids to put those behaviors they observe at school, on the way to and on the way from school, and even otherwise on the boards. The boards and what is on them can be discussed each week. There are several ways to use the boards. Pick a behavior and discuss how it can be prevented; look at the increase/decrease in positive or negative behaviors. The boards are a very good non-intrusive way of looking at bullying behaviors, discussing what can be done about these behaviors, and what kinds of positive behaviors can replace negative behaviors.
In addition, we offer the posters in magnetic 4”x 6” magnets. These are good handouts for parents to use at home to discuss what is going on at school.
