We offer a number of projects that can be used with the program. We have found that it is very beneficial for the group to complete a project together at the end of the program. In addition, it is often helpful to do individual projects during the program-these projects cement the learning, are fun, and reflect the individuality of the children. In addition, we firmly believe that “Doing is learning” and as the participants do the projects, they learn even more of what we want them to know. This is also true for adult participants. Some of these projects are perfect for inviting parent interaction in the classroom also. Let parents and kids make something together. This is an excellent way for parents to become aware of what is going on in their children’s lives in a very interactive way. Keeping projects up in the classroom for the school year strongly cements the content of the program and reinforces the new behaviors. We would love to hear your ideas for projects and we will add them on our website.
